💌 Letters from the Rebuild #12
The Summer Slump Isn’t Shameful—It’s Seasonal
Dear Den-Mates,
There’s a flavor of guilt that hits harder when you’re exhausted and things are quiet.
That’s where I’ve been lately.
Not in crisis.
Not checked out.
Just… tired.
And quietly mad at myself for being tired.
I caught myself wondering:
“Shouldn’t I be doing more by now?”
But then it hit me: the way we talk about productivity as authors is wildly disconnected from the natural cycles of creativity. Especially in the heat-heavy, focus-fractured haze of summer.
This isn't burnout.
This is a creative ebb.
