This morning’s card, the Six of Cups, rose up like the scent of old lilacs—sweet, nostalgic, a little haunting. It arrived right alongside the dream I had last night, and I know why.

The Six of Cups loves to visit when we’re standing at the threshold between memory and rebirth—when the past calls softly, but the present is whispering louder.

I woke remembering a dream that was equal parts beautiful and unsettling. Because that’s what the Six of Cups teaches: we can remember without returning.

🪶 Part 1: For the Writers

The Six of Cups is a mirror of memory. For writers, it’s that bittersweet pull toward “the way it used to be.”

It shows up when you:

  • Reread your old drafts with longing instead of pride.

  • Miss the version of you who used to write “fearlessly,” before the world or trauma got in the way.

  • Find yourself trapped between nostalgia for what was and guilt for what isn’t.

But nostalgia, darling, isn’t the enemy. It’s the invitation.

It says:
✨ Revisit your early words not to judge them—but to remember who you were when you still believed in your magic.
✨ Reclaim the joy of creating before success metrics tried to measure it.
✨ And let those echoes of past creativity become compost for new growth, not cages that keep you small.

Today, instead of trying to recreate an old flame, tend to your new, safer light—like my kitty-safe LED candles that flicker happily in the corner. Safe warmth. No risk of burning down the house.

That’s your new creative fire: contained, gentle, sustainable.

🌙 Today’s Practical Magick

When nostalgia hits, perform a Memory Blessing Ritual:

  1. Light (or switch on) one candle—physical or LED.

  2. Say aloud: “I bless the memories that made me, but I do not belong to them anymore.”

  3. Breathe in the peace that comes from release.

Or journal this question:

“What beauty from my past am I allowed to bring forward into my future?”

🧹 Full Moon Alignment Note:
As you declutter your home this week, remember you’re also decluttering timelines. Every object you release is a version of yourself you no longer have to carry. Let it go with gratitude.
