Six of Wands â Leading While Tired, Standing After the Shift
This card showed up for me this morning, and Iâll be honestâI stared at it for a minute.
The Six of Wands is supposed to be the victory card.
Applause. Recognition. The banner raised high.
But today?
Today didnât feel like that at all.
Today felt heavy. Achy. Uncertain.
Today felt like recalculating plans I didnât want to have to recalculate.
And yet⊠here it was.
So letâs talk about the real Six of Wands.
đȘ¶ Part 1: For the Writers
The Six of Wands isnât just about celebration.
Itâs also about visibility after endurance.
This card often shows up when:
Youâve done the work, but the payoff hasnât landed yet
Youâre still showing up even though the ground beneath you shifted
Youâre carrying leadership, responsibility, or vision while feeling exhausted
Youâre quietly recalibrating instead of collapsing
This is not the card of âI feel amazing.â
Itâs the card of:
âIâm still standing â and that matters.â
For writers, especially those rebuilding or pivoting, the Six of Wands says:
You donât need to feel confident to lead your own creative life.
You donât need certainty to choose alignment.
You donât need a crowd to validate the direction youâre taking.
Sometimes the bravest leadership looks like:
Choosing a new income path because the old one no longer feels safe
Betting on your voice instead of outsourcing your future
Making strategic decisions even while grieving what had to be let go
âïž Writers donât just write stories.
We decide which ones we stop living inside.
đ„ Todayâs Practical Magick
Sovereign Breath for Uncertain Days
When overwhelm or frustration spikes:
Inhale for 4
Hold for 4
Exhale for 6
Whisper: âI choose my direction.â
Repeat 3 times.
This is leadership at the nervous system level.
