Ten of Wands â The Weight We Choose to Carry
This card showed up for me this morning, and whew, was it loud.
And not in a âdoom and gloomâ way.
But in a âHey, Mama Bear⌠youâre carrying a LOT right now, but youâre almost at the finish lineâ kind of way.
Because thatâs what the Ten of Wands is: the card of burdens and responsibility â but also the moment where the load finally starts to shift from crushing to completing.
𪜠Part 1: For the Writers
The Ten of Wands is the card of overload, yes. But more importantly, itâs the card of progress under pressure.
Itâs what shows up when:
Youâre juggling multiple projects and each feels heavier than the last.
Youâve said âyesâ too many times, and now youâre staggering under the stack.
Youâre on the brink of finishing something huge, but exhaustion is real.
Writers, this is the card that says:
đ You donât have to carry it all at once.
đ You donât have to finish it all today.
đ Every word, every chapter, every âwandâ set down brings you closer to completion.
đĄ The Secret Gift of the Ten:
This card reminds us that responsibility can be reframed into ritual.
Instead of seeing every task as a burden, try treating it like a wand you choose to carry â one that will eventually build your fire, your light, your hearth.
đ Writers donât just build books. We build containers for worlds.
And those containers can get heavy â but they are sacred.
Todayâs Practical Magick:
Set a timer for 25 minutes, work on one task or one page.
When the timer rings, whisper: âThatâs one wand set down.â
Repeat until your shoulders feel lighter.
