Ten of Wands – The Weight We Choose to Carry

This card showed up for me this morning, and whew, was it loud.

And not in a “doom and gloom” way.

But in a “Hey, Mama Bear… you’re carrying a LOT right now, but you’re almost at the finish line” kind of way.

Because that’s what the Ten of Wands is: the card of burdens and responsibility — but also the moment where the load finally starts to shift from crushing to completing.

🪶 Part 1: For the Writers

The Ten of Wands is the card of overload, yes. But more importantly, it’s the card of progress under pressure.

It’s what shows up when:

  • You’re juggling multiple projects and each feels heavier than the last.

  • You’ve said “yes” too many times, and now you’re staggering under the stack.

  • You’re on the brink of finishing something huge, but exhaustion is real.

Writers, this is the card that says:

👉 You don’t have to carry it all at once.
👉 You don’t have to finish it all today.
👉 Every word, every chapter, every “wand” set down brings you closer to completion.

💡 The Secret Gift of the Ten:

This card reminds us that responsibility can be reframed into ritual.
Instead of seeing every task as a burden, try treating it like a wand you choose to carry — one that will eventually build your fire, your light, your hearth.

📝 Writers don’t just build books. We build containers for worlds.
And those containers can get heavy — but they are sacred.

Today’s Practical Magick:

  • Set a timer for 25 minutes, work on one task or one page.

  • When the timer rings, whisper: “That’s one wand set down.”

  • Repeat until your shoulders feel lighter.
