The Hermit showed up for me this morning — and honestly?
I laughed, because of course it did.

Of course the universe looked at my rebuilt PC chaos, my back pain from moving that beast around, my slow-but-steady energy…
and whispered:

“Sweetheart, come home to yourself.”

And this card is more than a mood.

It’s a message — not just for me, but for every writer who teeters between the need for solitude and the craving for connection.
Every creative soul who’s learning to trust their own voice again.
Every survivor who is rebuilding their inner lantern after life dimmed it too many damn times.

Let’s walk with The Hermit for a minute.

🪶 Part 1: For the Writers

The Hermit is the card of:

  • Inner wisdom

  • Creative sovereignty

  • Slow, intentional progress

  • Discernment

  • Sacred withdrawal from noise

  • The long quiet exhale after surviving too much

This is the lantern-bearer who says:

“You already know the next step. You don’t need external validation to take it.”

For writers, this card appears when:

✨ You’re shifting from burnout into quiet rebuilding
✨ You’re craving depth, truth, and alignment
✨ You need distraction-free space to hear your own voice again
✨ You’re developing a new pace — slow, steady, sustainable
✨ You’re mapping a future that isn’t built on fear or urgency

The Hermit is not telling you to hide.
It’s telling you to simplify.

Strip away the noise.
Strip away the comparison.
Strip away the panic of “I’m not doing enough.”

Your creativity today doesn’t need fireworks —
it needs a lantern and a clear path.

✨ Today’s Practical Magick for Writers

Try a 5-minute lantern walk:

  • Sit quietly

  • Close your eyes

  • Visualize a small lantern glowing in your hands

  • Ask it:
“What is one next gentle step I can take today?”

  • Then trust the first soft answer you hear — even if it’s tiny

Because the Hermit teaches this truth:

Small steps in the right direction
outweigh big steps in the wrong one.
