Seven of Wands – Defend Your Hill, Claim Your Path
This card showed up for me again this morning — and when a card repeats in such a short time, it’s not coincidence. It’s insistence. The Seven of Wands has something important to say.
And I want to share it in two parts — because it isn’t just for me. It’s for every creative soul who’s ever felt like their path was uphill, unusual, or unpopular.
🪶 Part 1: For the Writers
The Seven of Wands is the card of courage, boundaries, and standing your ground.
It’s the card that shows up when:
You’re building your dream in a way that isn’t “mainstream.”
You face doubts — from others or from that voice inside that whispers, “What if I’m wrong?”
You feel like you’re always climbing uphill, defending your choices, your vision, your voice.
It says: Your hill is worth defending.
As writers, we often feel the need to justify ourselves — our genres, our pace, our goals. The Seven of Wands is the reminder that not every path is meant to be walked by the crowd. Some are carved by brave souls, one pawprint at a time.
✨ Today’s Practical Magick for Writers:
Next time doubt creeps in, pause and ask: “What hill am I defending today — and why is it worth the fight?” Then write one sentence that answers it. Keep that sentence taped above your desk.
Because the Seven of Wands isn’t about easy paths. It’s about paths that matter.
