The Empress — Nourishment, Reclamation & The Creative Womb of Becoming
The Empress showed up for me this morning — and oh, did she show up like a warm blanket straight from the dryer. Soft. Sure. Certain.
She’s been weaving her way through my life for months now.
Major arcana after major arcana, all whispering:
“You are not the woman you used to be. Stop trying to shrink back into her.”
Today she arrives as confirmation.
As nourishment.
As reclamation.
As a reminder that healing isn’t passive — it’s fertile.
And I want to share today’s pull in two parts, just like always:
one for the writers,
and one for the inside of my own unfolding.
✍️ Part 1: For the Writers
The Empress is the card of creative womb space — the place where ideas germinate in the dark before they bloom.
She arises when:
You’ve been pushing too hard
Your nervous system is tired
Your inner critic is loud
Your muse feels far away
Your home feels cluttered
Or your body is begging you to slow down
She is not the manager.
She is not the disciplinarian.
She is not the productivity taskmaster cracking a whip.
She is the one who says:
“Your art grows better from nourishment, not punishment.”
For writers, The Empress calls you back to:
🌿 Sensual creativity
Write with a candle lit.
Edit with a hot drink.
Let your senses wake the story.
🍎 Embodied writing
Let your body lead your pacing — not your to-do list.
🌱 Gentle momentum
Tiny steps.
Tiny seeds.
Tiny wins.
🌼 Self-trust
Your stories bloom when you trust the soil you’re planting them in —
which is YOU.
Today’s Practical Magick:
Choose one small thing that feels nourishing to your writer self:
a clean desk corner,
a pretty notebook,
a 10-minute writing session,
or simply reading something that reminds you why you write.
The Empress doesn’t ask for hustle.
She asks for care.
