This card showed up for me this morning, and at first I almost laughed—because it’s my day off. But The Emperor wasn’t laughing. He sat across from me, stone throne and all, reminding me:

“Today, make a to-do list and get to it. No excuses. No distractions. You can get a lot of meaningful work done today—but only if you take responsibility for yourself. Remember, you are the only boss of your own life. Do your best.”

So I want to share The Emperor’s medicine. Because this card doesn’t just sit heavy in my lap—it stands as a pillar for every writer and creator trying to reclaim their own sovereignty.
