Death — The Quiet Goodbye Before the New Door Opens
This card came to me this morning not with thunder — but with stillness.
Death doesn’t always arrive when something is dramatically over.
Sometimes it arrives when something has already ended…
and we’re just still holding it out of habit.
🪶 Part 1: For the Writers
Death is the card of necessary endings, identity shedding, and creative evolution.
It appears when:
You keep using systems that drain you because they used to work
You cling to an old version of your author self out of loyalty
You feel tired in places that once felt driven
You sense something new stirring — but can’t reach it yet
Death doesn’t ask you to destroy.
She asks you to stop feeding what no longer feeds you.
✨ The scythe clears the field so something honest can grow.

Close one browser tab you keep reopening.
Say aloud: “I don’t need you anymore.”
