Queen of Swords – Boundaries, Clarity, and the Sharp Edge of Truth

This morning the Queen of Swords showed up for me, her blade gleaming, her gaze unflinching. And I want to share her wisdom in two parts — because the Queen doesn’t whisper. She slices straight to the marrow of what matters.

The Queen of Swords is the boundary-keeper, the truth-teller, the one who refuses to let your energy leak out through distraction or people-pleasing.

She shows up when:

• You’re saying “yes” out of guilt instead of alignment.

• You’re editing your own voice down to make it more palatable.

• You’re sacrificing your writing time for someone else’s emergencies.

• You’re spiraling in confusion, when what you really need is one clear decision.

The Queen reminds us:

• Your voice matters most when it’s uncut and unapologetic.

• Boundaries are not walls — they are doorways that you control.

• Clarity isn’t cruelty; it’s a kindness to yourself and your readers.

For writers, that might mean drawing a line in your calendar and calling it sacred. It might mean cutting the fluff from a scene so the heart of the story can shine. It might mean saying no, without apology.

Try the “Sword of Clarity” exercise. Write down one boundary you’ve been afraid to enforce. Cross out every excuse around it. Then write the truth, sharp and simple. That’s your Queen’s decree.
