Three of Swords – Sacred Ache, Silver Linings, and the Sword of Truth
This card showed up for me this morning, and oh… she didn’t pull any punches.
She pierced straight through the fluff and said,
“Let’s talk about the hurt you’re hiding from. Let’s name the ache.”
And so we shall. Because this pain? It deserves to be seen—not just shoved into the back corner of your spirit.
🪶 Part 1: For the Writers
The Three of Swords is heartbreak. It’s loss. It’s the cruel clarity that follows a broken promise or a dashed hope.
It shows up when:
You’ve just been ghosted by a job or client you really needed.
You’re staring at your bank account wondering how the hell you’ll make it through another month.
You’re trying to sell your soul’s work… and no one’s buying.
You’re pushing through, every day, with the boot of capitalism on your chest, wondering if you’ll ever breathe freely again.
This is the writer’s wound, raw and real.
But the Three doesn’t just slice—she illuminates.
She whispers:
“You’re not broken. You’re becoming honest.”
Because the ache? It’s telling you what’s not working.
It’s asking you to stop begging for breadcrumbs from people who were never going to feed you.
It’s daring you to tell the damn truth in your work, your life, your business.
Here’s what to do with it:
Write it out—ugly, messy, and unfiltered.
Speak your boundaries out loud, even if your voice shakes.
Let this pain clear the decks. Stop marketing to ghosts. Stop clinging to expired chapters.
You’re not behind. You’re grieving.
And grieving is holy.
