The Sun – When Joy Becomes Your Signal, Not a Distraction
This card showed up for me this morning and practically blinded me with its timing.
Not just metaphorically. Literally.
As I sat down at my desk, still sipping my first cup of blissful coffee, the sunlight came bursting through the window on my right — blinding, warm, inescapable. My orange cat sprawled in the golden beam like it was his throne.
(yes, Simon has gloriously long whiskers that he’s quite proud of! 😆)
And I had to laugh. Because what I did next is pull my morning card… and the card I pulled?
The Sun.
And the message that followed? Clear as the light on my face:
“When you feel happy it becomes easier to learn and grow. Today, dedicate attention to things you enjoy.”

We’re so conditioned to think joy is a luxury. A distraction. Something you have to earn after grinding yourself to exhaustion.
But The Sun says otherwise.
It says:
That coffee you just sipped? That was the sacred ritual.
That fuzzy cat basking in your light? That’s your altar guardian.
That feeling of calm? That’s not laziness. It’s clarity.
Writers, your clarity does not come from punishment. It comes from alignment.
Today, let your joy lead.
Write in the glow. Take notes from the light. Let the words you speak to yourself be as warm and honest as the sunrise.
