This card showed up for me this morning, and whew, did it have something to say.
And I want to share it in two parts—because The Devil doesn’t just whisper to me.
It whispers to every creative soul who’s ever tried to build something while their shadows pulled at their strings.

The Devil is the card of hidden chains, intrusive thoughts, temptations, and the places we still hand our power away.
It shows up when:
You spiral into doomscrolling instead of drafting.
You hear the old voice saying “Who are you to write this?”
You keep pushing yourself to burnout because guilt or fear says “rest is lazy.”
Or when your creative joy feels tangled in an invisible leash.
Here’s the truth:
The Devil’s chains aren’t locked. They’re loose. You can slip them at any time.
This card invites you to:
Notice the thought patterns tugging at your energy.
Say them out loud so they lose their grip.
Reclaim your story — page by page, breath by breath.
