Nowadays, a great number of us suffer from information overload. Between Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and all the other social media networks that most of us frequent and use for our author business, the endless stream of information can be overwhelming. Not to mention a lot of the information we would like to see gets lost in the noise.
So without any extra added fluff, here is a list of five of our favorite Facebook groups to follow for any indie author working on their marketing:
- 20BooksTo50K -- created and managed by Craig Martelle, Michael Anderle, and others, this is a must-have Facebook page on any indie author’s list.(https://www.facebook.com/groups/20Booksto50k/)
- Authors and Creators Making Money Selling Books –– this group from Russell Nohelty is one of my absolute favorite groups on Facebook. From daily challenges that most writers face to organizing some incredible Book promo giveaways you do not want to miss out on this group. If you are even remotely interested in growing your email list as an author, Russell's group is a must-have.(https://www.facebook.com/groups/743617402482919/)
- Author Like A Boss –– Ella Barnard’s group, author like a boss, is a fantastic public Facebook group that covers everything from marketing, General writer questions, and has an incredible Community of like-minded indie authors. Oh, and did I mention Ella does an awesome podcast, as well! 😍(https://www.facebook.com/groups/authorlab/)
- StoryOrigin –– this is the Facebook group for StoryOriginApp, which is an amazing, incredible, fantastic, (Insert more adjectives here), way for indie authors to work together to build their email list. I have personally more than tripled my subscriber list just from using their free service.(https://www.facebook.com/storyoriginapp/)
- Sci-fi and Fantasy Daily Tweets Group –– this group helps actually promote your books on Twitter. Yes, an odd thing to have happen on Facebook but you will find a fair number of "Re-tweet" groups on Facebook. As a fantasy and sci-fi author myself, the Sci-Fi and Fantasy Daily Tweet Group is one of my favorites. When I was first getting started this group helped me gain hundreds of new Twitter followers, and I can attribute quite a few of my early books sales and page reads to this group of fantastic authors sharing my tweets.(https://www.facebook.com/groups/339669043096747/)
